This incredible example from the Gibson custom shop is literally in ‘brand new’ unplayed condition.
The historically accurate maple top on this model was hand selected and bears the characteristics of an original 1958 Gibson Les Paul with just the right amount of figuring. The dark rosewood fingerboard accommodates the vintage correct trapezoid inlays perfectly which, along with the mahogany neck, makes for an unforgettable playing experience.
The 2025 R8 has been Gibson’s most historically accurate recreation of the original ‘holy grail’ models of yesteryear thus far, with meticulous craftsmanship present throughout. From the vintage aesthetic of the finish right down to the subtle ageing of the hardware and vintage correct fret size and profile, this particular piece really does capture the vintage vibe and feel of the original ‘Bursts’.
The Custombucker pickups sound incredible and probably one of the closest sets to capturing that original PAF tone, that I‘ve heard.
Comes with its original custom shop Lifton ‘Cali-Girl’ case and COA (including all documentation and case candy).
